  "A herd of Ankole cattle, highly prized for their enormous horns, graze in Laikipia in central Kenya. These remarkable cattle fascinated me, and even more so when I learnt that this region was home to lions and other big cats. I always noticed an armed herdsman nearby, and at night the cattle were corralled in a protective boma."
