Lalela scarves feature inspiring designs from young artists in Lalela after school programs. Proceeds from each scarf sale go towards helping young innovators find their voice and overcome the narrative of poverty through the transformative power of arts education.
This scarf began with Lalela learners creating cartoon books on friendship and the meaning of Ubuntu (a person is a person through other people). Each child created their own page which then came together to create a blended story with all the students in their class. The art of story telling helps learners express their ideas.
