  "In the Caprivi Strip in Namibia the local people live in villages that are based on higher ground to avoid the annual floods. On many trips I encountered fishermen in their Mokoros carved from tree trunks. They are a hardy and brave people, as this stretch of river was full of hippos and huge crocodiles."
