The Swartberg collection has been named after the vast Swartberg mountains of the Karoo in South Africa. Just like the Karoo, the Swartberg sofas are vast planes of beauty with majestic proportions - beckoning you to relish the slow life, relaxing outdoors, lounging in nature.
Simple yet generous, the Swartberg platform sofa collection imparts a sense of length & ease. Comprising of 1, 2 or 3-seater sofas with optional slatted table additions that seamlessly extend beyond the wooden base. The modular pieces can be combined to form a variety of compositions to suit many environments & can be accompanied by small, medium & large Swartberg coffee tables in Iroko or Thermo-modified oak.
Stretch out, unrestrained & savour the stillness on spacious planes of layered memory foam & polyurethane mattress, upholstered in a hand-picked selection of Sunbrella’s finest performance fabrics. Casual back cushions, filled to the brim with soft microfiber, line the prominent asymmetrical rails offered in 19 erudite powder coat colours.
Designed for longevity, handling the African elements & durable in extreme conditions, the Swartberg sofa, like the mountain range itself, will beautify with age, enduring generations outside. Wooden components of the Swartberg Sofas & Swartberg Coffee Tables are made from Iroko – an African hardwood that has been treated with ProNature (www.pronature.co.za) outdoor oil. The oil seals and protects the timber against minor stains and nourishes the timber to preventing drying out when exposed to the outdoor elements.
Designed for longevity, handling the African elements & durable in extreme conditions, the Iroko will beautify with age. Without any maintenance, the furniture will gradually weather to a silver-grey patina and hairline cracking will appear, due to the timber drying out. This surface cracking is natural, not a defect, and will not affect the structural integrity of the furniture.

Asymmetrical arm rails (please specify position either right or left from the position of sitting) are made from flat, stainless-steel bars with smooth conical edges forming contemporary louvred screens. Select your desired colour from 19 erudite powder coat colours (UV-stable pure polyester with a luxurious satin ferro-grain texture).
