Wunderkammer
Wunderkammer is literally translated from German as a ‘room of wonder’. The traditional Wunderkammer featured naturalia, referring to elements created by the earth and items drawn from nature, mirabilia (unusual natural phenomena) and other objects or images of interest to explorers of the time.
This collection features hand-rendered images from 18th- and 19th-century naturalists and botanists.
