Lalela scarves feature inspiring designs from young artists in Lalela after school programs. Proceeds from each scarf sale go towards helping young innovators find their voice and overcome the narrative of poverty through the transformative power of arts education.
This vibrant artwork was created by Zine, a 12 year old Lalela learner from our programs in Hout Bay. Zine is described by her teachers as being strong and bold while also having a lovely sensitivity. Zine said that having her artwork featured on one of our scarves made her excited, she never imagined her art would be used for something like this and seeing it come to life makes her believe more in herself.
