  Illustrator and designer Louisa Gerryts has a diverse body of work that includes botanical and ornithological paintings and drawings, as well as landscape and still life paintings.Since 2017, Louisa has been exploring Digital Collage as a medium, using her own work and photographs, creating a cohesive composition through the layering of multiple images and textures, which is used for limited edition prints on paper as well as textiles and wallpaper.The indigenous birds, plants and flowers that inhabit her Riebeek Kasteel garden, are the inspiration for her designs.Louisa holds a Fine Arts degree from the University of Stellenbosch, 1974–1978.
