MICHELLE VAN REENEN MEMORYSCAPES AND DREAMSCAPES

Michelle van Reenen is a Kommetjie-based painter with a background in graphic design and a BA in Visual Arts from Stellenbosch University. She works primarily in acrylics and mixed media, creating abstract figurative and landscape paintings rich in bold, emotive colour.

Her Memoryscapes series explores the fading nature of memory through textured, layered landscapes, while Dreamscapes delves into surreal, subconscious realms using abstract forms and scratched surfaces to blur the line between reality and imagination.
