Peter Finlayson

After obtaining a BSc in Agricultural science at Stellenbosch University, Peter achieved post graduate experience at the renowned wine school of Geisenheim Germany. He gained invaluable classical appreciation and respect for great wine.

Fortunately following a career in winemaking presented many travel opportunities, where Peter often landed up in unusual, wild locations to present wines.

This is sort of where it all started, along with Peter’s early development when surrounded by wildlife and associated with farm life, which inspires his love for the bush.

He describes his work with wildlife photography as a catharsis from the stress of being a worker and provider. He loves the idea that each moment captured in the bush, is one that will never be repeated.

Peter is also passionate about representing our wildlife heritage in a beautiful way, and capturing the essence of nature within each photo.
