Named after the land where Ankara goats graze freely in the Karoo, and where our mohair is sourced, Veld Melia brings together natural wool and mohair in warm, earthy neutrals. Subtle variation within the weave gives the surface depth without pattern. Available with or without wild tassels, the design shifts between relaxed informality and a more pared-back finish.
This handwoven rug collection brings a sense of calm, story, and understated barefoot luxury into the home. Inspired by South Africa - from its wild landscapes to the philosophies shaped by its people - each design is woven on traditional wooden looms by skilled women artisans using locally sourced African wool and mohair. Reflecting the natural colours and textures of the land, the rugs bring an organic, restorative feeling to any space.

I ordered the framed canvas “Sardine Dream” in 35”x50” and could not possibly love it more. I feel like I’m transported beneath the surface of the ocean when I look at it. The canvas arrived expertly packaged and is extremely well made. The rustic wood frame is beautiful as well and only enhances this stunning piece of artwork. I ordered several other framed works and cannot wait to get them up on our walls.
