The Hardwood Chair is a striking contemporary dining chair design. The gentle curves of the backrest and the shaped timber seat are offset by the crisp lines of the angled timber legs. The elegant scoop in the timber backrest provides comfort as well as the characteristic attention to detail found in all our pieces, exposing beautiful, traditional joinery techniques.
This design is available in a number of timbers and finishes. It can also be done in painted finishes — please enquire for colours. We can also make this design with an upholstered seat (fabric or leather) of your choice, which you can provide.
If made in Iroko with a weatherproof fabric upholstered seat you can use the Hardwood Chair in an outdoor environment. Timber is subject to weathering outdoors as normal.

In order to retain the natural finish of the timber we keep the number of protective coats to a minimum. Although this adds to the aesthetic appeal of the product, highlighting the natural qualities of solid wood, it does mean that the finish is not impervious to damage and staining. Light scuffs can gently be wiped off with a damp cloth and some soapy water.
With painted and dark charcoal finishes, care should be taken when placing chairs around tables as these finishes are susceptible to wear.
Do not place indoor furniture outdoors. Avoid full sun as it causes yellowing and light surface cracks. Heavily air-conditioned environments require a humidifier to maintain timber moisture.
