As the name suggests, the Round Outdoor Harvest Table is a celebration of South Africa’s natural splendour, encouraging good times enjoying the sun and fresh air of this beautiful country. We make this design exclusively from FSC certified Iroko timber, colloquially known as African Teak.
The traditional and expertly crafted joinery seen in this design enables the continuous movement of the timber throughout its life and ensures its durability in the changing outdoor environment. This design is suitable for covered outdoor use only. If the table is being placed in a fully exposed area, an outdoor fabric cover is essential. Finished with a locally produced, environmentally friendly and non-toxic grey oil, the Round Outdoor Harvest Table develops a worn-in aesthetic as it ages, a distinctive trait of solid wood furniture. With natural exposure to sun and rain, light surface cracks will appear and the timber will develop a silvery grey patina from UV exposure. The expressed joins between the planks of the table top will open and close with the seasons and there may be a certain amount of warping and cupping of the timber, depending on the amount of sun the table gets. However, structurally, the design will maintain its integrity if properly cared for.
The Round Outdoor Harvest Table is made in both 1.7" (44mm) and 2.8" (70mm) thick versions.
Due to the complexity of this design, we only make it in 4 set sizes which unfortunately cannot be altered.
As this design has four legs it is best suited to seating two, four or eight chairs.
The Harvest Outdoor Round table is available in two tabletop thickness options: 1.7" (44mm) or 2.8" (70mm)
47.2" Ø x 29.5" (1200 x 750mm)
55.1" Ø x 29.5" (1400 x 750mm)
63" Ø x 29.5" (1600 x 750mm)
70.9" Ø x 29.5" (1800 x 750mm)
After everyday use, wipe down the wood surface with a slightly damp cloth. Although the oil does protect the timber surface it will not make it impenetrable. Wine, vinegar, oils and other spills should be wiped up immediately to avoid staining.
The Harvest Outdoor Round Table is available in the following timbers:
