    Installation Guide

    Arkivio Secure Cleat Mount System

You will need these tools to install your mirror:
    - A drill
    - 6mm masonry drill bit.
    - Level
    - A pencil or something to mark the wall with
    - Tape measure
    - Star screwdriver
    - Hammer

    Marking your holes
    1. Remove wall cleat & wall screws from behind your mirror.
    2. Work out your final mirror hanging height.
    3. Mark a horizontal line using your level.
    4. Place the cleat over the line - See orientation of cleat below.
    5. Line-up the holes with the line and choose 2, mark them.

    Drilling & Hanging
    1. Drill 2 holes where you have marked your line, the holes should be 45mm deep.
    2. Remove any remaining dust from the holes and place the empty plastic wall plug casings inside.
    3. Position the cleat and insert the wall plug screws through the cleat holes and into the fischer casings.
    4. Screw the screw heads into their plugs with a star screwdriver.
Ask someone to help you lift the mirror just higher than the wall cleat, move it towards the wall and slowly bring the mirror down until the cleat is holding the weight of the mirror.

Arkivio cleat mounting system benefits No more aligning the hooks!
If you’ve ever been involved in hanging a mirror with hooks, you’ll know the frustration of trying to peek behind the mirror in order to align the hooks. With the Arkivio Cleat, there is none of that and much less danger to scratching your new paint or wallpaper.

    Missing the pipes & electrical
Another common issue with installing a mirror in the bathroom is that the water pipes or electrical wires often run directly where you’re planning to hang the mirror. The Arkivio cleats have multiple holes to choose from which allow the installer to avoid drilling into any areas where they think they could encounter a problem. They can miss these spots knowing that it will not affect the final hanging position of the mirror.

Hanging a heavy mirror on drywall
As drywalling does not have the same strength as a brick wall, a concern is that the screws may be pulled out with the weight of the mirror. The Arkivio Cleat system makes it is possible for the installer to use all available holes along the cleat, dispersing the weight of the mirror between all the screws allowing for a more secure mount.
