"This range is from a journey I took to meet some of the communities that occupy the Central and Eastern Equatorial regions of South Sudan. I travelled into areas where malaria and typhoid run rampant and slept in open air camps where the cattle are ‘King’. I met communities that wear their ancestral scarring with the utmost pride. I photographed women in headdress’ that symbolise both their clan and social status. Captured faces that carry extensive beaded jewellery alongside piercings that indicate age and role within the village. It was a journey into the world’s youngest country. A country that has repeatedly experienced the hardships of civil war. A country that endures ongoing violence between communities. A land that feels that it exists on a knife’s edge, yet rarely have I seen so many smiles, been so welcomed into villages or been confronted by such colour and vibrance … in both heart and soul."

I ordered the framed canvas “Sardine Dream” in 35”x50” and could not possibly love it more. I feel like I’m transported beneath the surface of the ocean when I look at it. The canvas arrived expertly packaged and is extremely well made. The rustic wood frame is beautiful as well and only enhances this stunning piece of artwork.
