Lalela scarves feature inspiring designs from young artists in Lalela after school programs. Proceeds from each scarf sale go towards helping young innovators find their voice and overcome the narrative of poverty through the transformative power of arts education.
This scarf is designed using the work of 2 different artists, Kyler and Makanaca who were 10 and 12 yrs old when they created this artwork. Kyle's passion is poetry and Makanaca wants to become a businesswoman when she grows up.
By linking the arts to academics and life-skills, Lalela provides students with the tools necessary to re-imagine the future and achieve their dreams.
