This chair’s clean lines and lightness makes it a perfect fit for any space. Pairing the purity of simple tubular steel with the sensual warmth of natural hide, it has a sleek look and an air of functional elegance. The Oil Tan Leather has a beautiful look, smell and feel and is softer and more pliable than other leathers as it retains much of its moisture. It is more durable and more weather resistant than other leathers as the oil used to tan and colour the leather repels water and dirt. The oil tan leather leaves a rich colour when scratched or bent but fades after some time – making this option of leather interesting, personalised and it will age beautifully around your habits – leaving a story on the leather.
It comes with a soft blanket bolster for additional comfort. The blanket bolsters are dependent on what is available and in stock. (Leather bolsters can be made in a thinner upholstery leather and at an additional cost).
The beauty of leather is that each hide has natural markings and features, which means that each piece is unique, with its own personality.
The chairs are stitched by hand, and we embrace the characteristics and individuality of the hide we use. There might be slight colour variations. The craftmanship and skill of the artist’s hand therefore constitutes an inherent part of the making of your particular piece, a feature we celebrate as part of the creative process. As you live with your product, the leather will evolve. With the correct care, the appearance of your newly-purchased piece will retain its beauty, developing its own character and patina.
We support products that are created by hand, demonstrating the unique skill of the artisan and support one-of-a-kind pieces, and variance in design due to the process of hand crafting. In a world of homogenized mass production, slower designed, handmade products require less energy than mass-produced items and often last longer, reducing the cycle of waste in our “throw-away” culture.
The hanging mechanisms are supplied with the chair – in standard lengths, ready for installation. The Sling chair can disassemble and splits in half for flat packing – great in economising packing and freight.

I ordered the framed canvas “Sardine Dream” in 35”x50” and could not possibly love it more. I feel like I’m transported beneath the surface of the ocean when I look at it. The canvas arrived expertly packaged and is extremely well made. The rustic wood frame is beautiful as well and only enhances this stunning piece of artwork. I ordered several other framed works and cannot wait to get them up on our walls.
